This course gives you very good understanding what paragliding is all about.

Different to the usual, we make a serious effort to make sure you learn essential flying skills quickly and efficiently. With small groups, low instructor/student ratios and an intense training program your progress will be huge. Wherever appropriate, you will be on full size paragliders, using minigliders to supplement in strong wind only.

Within 3-4 days (or more if we don't achieve what we planned for) you learn to launch a glider confidently in different weather conditions, fly safely, soar along the coast for long relaxing flights, land safely.

You will fulfill all the requirements for a learner's rating (PG1) issued by the NZ Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association.

In addition to the training, we also treat you to a tandem flight with a NZ Champion pilot in order to teach you some of the finer skills of flying first hand, you get to go soaring. Such an expert tandem accelerates your learning hugely.

We will also cover necessary theory, e. g. weather, aerodynamics.
