Whether you learn to fly a paramotor from scratch or you are already a paraglider pilot, learning to paramotor is not hard.
second day of the course - first flight
An introductory day to paramotoring can help you decide to do a full paramotor course and purchase your own equipment. Such intro course gives you a good idea of how the gear works, of ground handling and launching the glider. We will also give you an introductory tandem paramotor flight in order to teach you in-flight skills. Such course costs $290.
In order to fly a paramotor solo, you need to acquire a Paramotor rating, issued through Wings & Waves by the NZ Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, called NZHGPA.
Such course takes 5-10 days, depending on your previous flying experience.
During our courses, we teach you to plan your flight, to launch, to fly the motor safely, to look after your equipment, to read aircharts and prepare you to achieve a paramotor rating. You will need your own equipment for the course.
If you already fly paragliders, you need a PPG Conversion Course or PPG intro.
